Reliving history
Orphan Works Collection
Steve’s Curator’s Closet is a personal collection of miscellaneous artistic treasures gathered because they tell stories worth preserving. It contains works that might otherwise stand apart from the studio’s topical collections but possess a distinctly personal connection. Each artwork offers a glimpse into another time, whether it recalls a family story, a vanished landmark, a favorite destination, or an ordinary moment that might otherwise be forgotten. The Curator’s Closet is important because history is not found only in famous events or grand buildings; it also lives in the small things people save and remember. Together, these artworks create a visual and emotional record of the past. Steve’s goal is to share these treasures so that their stories—and the memories they represent—can continue to be appreciated by future generations.
