Trimper Rides (04-17)

Historical narrative

When Steve thought about Ocean City, he thought Thrasher's Fries, the Maryland Inn, and Trimper Rides, and when he thought about those landmarks, he thought Ocean City. They were one and the same. His family stayed at the Maryland Inn, lived on Thrasher's Fries, and laughed and screamed on the thrill rides. Summer fun at the max! As a youngster and later as a teen, as soon as he arrived in Ocean City, Steve would make a beeline for Trimper Rides near the Boardwalk and the inlet. In his earlier years in the mid-1950s, it was the kiddie rides inside the indoor building and, later, in the 1960s, it was the outdoor thrill rides.
