Mullikin Station Hotel (01-12)

Historical narrative

Extensive research did not produce a photograph or description of the hotel that once served Mitchellville's Mullikin Station, although its existence and location had been confirmed by a long-time resident. The depiction here portrays how a small, simple railroad hotel might well have appeared at that time and place in the early to mid-1900s. According to the same source, the hotel was located across the railroad tracks from the post office and Railway Express Agency office.
